Welcome to the first challenge in our 52 Week Project! To get things started, let’s introduce ourselves by taking a photograph of something that represents us. Theme: Introduction For this challenge, you can either take a self-portrait or a photograph of something that is special to you. We understand that not everybody wants to show their faces online, so feel free to take a self-portrait only if you’re comfortable with it. This theme is very abstract and broad, so you can take it in any direction that you like! In this video, you’ll learn how to photograph yourself in a flattering way. You’ll also learn how to take meaningful photographs of non-living objects. The point of this challenge is to help you get better at telling a story, no matter which subject you choose to photograph. There’s a story hiding in every location and object. It’s your job as a photographer to find it. We’re very excited to start this journey with you and can’t wait to see the progress that you make with us! Remember, we’re always here to provide you with ideas and constructive criticism.
